History was made on February 1 as the highly anticipated mixtape "OMG - The Mixtape" from Nigerian gospel rappers Deleke and J Lyricist eventually broke loose via the internet. What better way could they have wished us a Happy New Month?
The four-track mixtape branded "OMG! The Mixtape" features two songs from both rappers. This gives the Nigerian music industry a very strong alert that gospel rap music is reborn to take its rightful place. The songs contain highly anointed, deep and contemporary punchlines that the rap and hip hop community can easily relate with.
